Speaking today, Vice President J.D. Vance said the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran are for a deal that completely dismantles Iran's nuclear enrichment program.
The deal must "result in the complete cessation of any chance that they can get a nuclear weapon," he said.
"Iran getting a nuclear weapon… is completely off the table for the American administration. No ifs, ands, or buts," added Vance. "Now, there are a couple of other things that are worth thinking about because this is not just about Iran. If Iran gets a nuclear weapon, which country then next gets a nuclear weapon? And then when that country gets a nuclear weapon, which country after that, we really care, not just about Iran, but about nuclear proliferation."
"The president hates nuclear proliferation. I hate nuclear proliferation... And we really think that if the Iran domino falls, you're going to see nuclear proliferation all over the Middle East. That's very bad for us. It's very bad for our friends, and it's something that we don't think can happen."

This statement comes just days after President Trump

made clear that he will only accept a nuclear agreement with Iran that includes "total dismantlement" of the regime's nuclear program, which he

reiterated in an interview today.
"There are only two alternatives: Blow [Iran's nuclear infrastructure] up nicely, or blow it up viciously," Trump said.
The next round of nuclear negotiations between the United States and Iran is

set to take place on Sunday in Muscat, Oman, according to Iranian media reports.
This will be the fourth set of talks to take place, after a planned round of negotiations set for last Saturday in Rome were postponed.
The United States must continue to impose maximum pressure on the Iranian regime coupled with a credible threat of military force to facilitate time-bound negotiations to verifiably and permanently dismantle Iran’s nuclear program.

Hamas, Hezbollah terrorists killed in Lebanon

said today that it killed Hamas terrorist commander Khaled Ahmed Ahmed in a strike in southern Lebanon.
As Hamas' chief of operations in Lebanon, Ahmed helped to orchestrate terror attacks against IDF troops and Israeli citizens.
Earlier in the day, the IDF announced it killed a Hezbollah terrorist in a separate strike in southern Lebanon.
Two Palestinian terror attacks in West Bank
Two Palestinian

terror attacks took place against Israeli troops in the West Bank today, as the IDF continues to confront Iranian-backed terrorists there.
A Palestinian opened fire on Israeli forces operating in the northern West Bank, injuring two.
Separately, a Palestinian attempted a car-ramming attack against Israeli troops near Hebron, before getting out and stabbing them, injuring one.
