We’re focused on empowering activists to speak out against the Trump administration’s constant barrage of attacks on our rights — and ultimately, elect a strong and inclusive Democratic majority in the midterms that will fight — and I mean really fight — for vulnerable communities.

Right now, there are a lot of folks feeling hopeless and asking me: “What can I do?”

I know the news cycle can feel overwhelming, so I want to give you a 60-second update on what you need to know this week and how you can take action:

🔵 The House GOP is attempting to push their harmful tax bill through to a vote this month, which aims to make the largest cut to Medicaid in history. That’s essential health care that 72 million Americans rely on — especially seniors, children, working families and folks with disabilities.

🔵 Trump signed an executive order to defund NPR and PBS — public broadcasting stations that are critical to our communities and provide free, trustworthy and educational programming to kids, seniors and everyone in between.

🔵 As Trump recklessly introduces tariffs and causes the stock market to crash, working class Americans are struggling to make ends meet — and matters could get worse if the GOP’s cuts to Medicaid, Social Security, SNAP and other vital programs pass.

To get back to the earlier question — “What can I do?” — the answer is simple:

Take a minute to call your representatives and Senators. The GOP only has a three-seat majority in the House and a narrow majority in the Senate — so that means a handful of votes could be the difference between passing or rejecting their dangerous agenda.
