Friend, Trump’s mass deportation agenda is already devastating our communities — fueling fear, ripping apart families, and making a mockery of the right to due process. It’s a strategy based on cruelty and chaos, and ultimately, it makes all of us less safe.

Undocumented immigrants already are and will continue to endure the worst of the devastation — but make no mistake: If you’re worried about rent, food prices, or health care, Trump’s mass deportation agenda is coming for you too, friend.

Here’s how:

Your grocery bill will go up. Roughly 42 percent of U.S. farmworkers are undocumented immigrants, who work long days in harsh conditions to harvest the food we all eat. Without them, crops will rot in fields, causing food prices to spike by 10 percent or more.

Housing will get even more expensive. Undocumented workers make up about one-sixth of the construction workforce — most working in residential building. Mass deportations will mean labor shortages, longer delays, and higher housing costs.

The whole economy will take a hit. Beyond their unquantifiable contributions to our communities, undocumented immigrants fill essential roles and pay billions in taxes annually. What's more, experts say that mass deportations would shrink our economy by nearly 7 percent.

And taxpayers, like you, will foot the $350 billion bill. Just one year of this plan, at $88 billion, is 18 times more than what the entire world spends on cancer research annually. To pay for it, Congress is eyeing cuts to social programs, like Medicaid.

Friend, Trump's mass deportation agenda is inhumane, dangerous, and a disaster for our economy. Read our blog to learn more about what’s at stake — and why it should matter to all of us. ([link removed])
