John,
Last month, the U.S. Supreme Court heard arguments in a case that could
gut the Voting Rights Act and strip Black voters of their representation
in Congress.

Crosshairs Again
Multiple lower court judges had concluded that Louisiana’s old
congressional map violated the Voting Rights Act by underrepresenting
Black voters, who make up one-third of the state’s population.
The remedy was a new map with two majority-Black districts – a
long-overdue win for voting rights.
But now, the far-right justices on the Supreme Court appear ready to not
just overturn this new map and remove critical Black representation from
Congress, but also make it unconstitutional for states to consider race in
ways necessary to comply with the Voting Rights Act.
The situation is dire. A Supreme Court stacked with three judges
hand-picked by Donald Trump very well may toss aside decades of legal
precedent to serve the far-right agenda.
That’s why Demand Justice PAC is fighting to restore balance to our
courts. We’re backing candidates who support judicial reform, mobilizing
people around the country in support of justice, and raising our voices to
stop MAGA judges.
