John,
We have a critical legal fight underway now, and we need your help to win justice for an innocent puppy named Winnie. With so much at stake for dogs and puppies like her across the country, a generous supporter will match your donation today up to a total of $75,000 to help our fight against animal cruelty and shut down operations that exploit animals like Winnie. |

Winnie never weighed more than a pound. Southern California puppy brokers, the Kenneys, sold the pup to a newlywed couple who responded to an online ad for a mini-labradoodle. The Kenneys advertised that Winnie was eight weeks old and fully vaccinated. But the couple soon learned how far puppy brokers will go to turn a profit.
Winnie was only four weeks old, had been dyed with hair dye, and had not been properly vaccinated. Winnie died just weeks after the couple brought her home — from a disease she contracted because she never got the vaccines the Kenneys said they gave her. This was not the first time a puppy suffered and died because of the Kenneys’ greed. But we are working to make it one of the last, and we need your help.
Every day, dogs across the country are suffering and dying in puppy mills and at the hands of puppy traffickers like the Kenneys. With your help, we can work to give animals like Winnie the legal protections they need. Plus, if you make a gift by June 30, it will be matched up to a total of $75,000!
John, we’ve filed a lawsuit against the Kenneys for their illegal puppy trafficking scheme, and we’re fighting on multiple legal fronts to end the suffering caused by puppy brokers and cruel commercial puppy breeders — who make abuse and deception their business model. But without strong animal protection laws and enforcement of those laws, the exploitation of dogs and puppies will continue.
Please join the Animal Legal Defense Fund with your membership gift to help us shut down the Kenneys’ puppy trafficking business. There is no better time to invest in this fight because your contribution by June 30 will be matched up to a total of $75,000 to help combat puppy mills, crack down on unscrupulous puppy brokers, and win justice for animal victims of cruelty. |
If you’ve already responded to the recent letter we sent you in the mail, thank you! But if not, please make a donation now when it will make twice the impact. Court trials may be delayed, but we never take a break from our fight for animals. We’re working tirelessly to advance this lawsuit and others to ensure that those who abuse animals are brought to justice. Please help give animals a fighting chance against cruelty and bring their abusers to justice. |
For the animals,
