Study: LGBTQ+ autistic adults face range of challenges in healthcare
Researchers found that despite having greater need for mental and physical healthcare services, LGBTQ+ autistic adults surveyed had a higher rate of those needs being unmet. The broader community and the healthcare system need to focus on solutions that support LGBTQ+ autistic adults and make it easier to access appropriate care.
