The stakes for the 2026 election got higher this week when Governor Brian Kemp announced that he would not be running for United States Senate.
While there would have been a certain level of “cruel and unusual punishment” felt by our ultra-executive, ultra-effective Governor if forced to be one out of one hundred members in an ultra-deliberative, ultra-ineffective body, Brian Kemp’s entrance into the race would have meant certain victory. Misery for him (in the job) but victory for us at the ballot box.
Now, without a wildly popular leader at the helm of the ticket, there is weeping and gnashing of teeth at the prospect of what seems to be a now-uphill battle to defeat Jon Ossoff amidst more-difficult battle for all our statewide and legislative offices, including Governor and Lt. Governor.
Not so fast. Frontline is built for such a time as this. Prepare for battle, and stand with us by making a generous $25, $100, $250, or greater donation today! [[link removed]]
There are several things I know.
First – while Brian Kemp is a uniquely popular figure, we have a very deep bench of conservatives. Blake Tillery, Burt Jones, Chris Carr, Greg Dolezal, John Kennedy, John King, Mike Collins, Rich McCormick, and Steve Gooch (listed alphabetically by first name – not in any sort of preference order) are just some of the names being “tossed around” for the “Big Three” (Senate, Governor, and Lt. Governor) that are more-than-capable of winning at the ballot box.
Second – while many of the liberal candidates are laughably bad, we would do well to remember that Joe Biden, the most comically bad (until Kamala) and obviously senile presidential candidate of all time, was able to get 16 electoral votes from Georgia. While “doom and gloom” fatalism is not the answer, neither is overconfidence. Regardless of the absurdity of their candidates, leftists are vary capable of taking control of our state.
Third – beyond their ability to win, the leftists are assembling an “All-Star Cast of Avowed Wokists.” We know U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff, the man who was a rubber stamp for Joe Biden and then just voted to allow boys in girls sports. That was the same vote taken by the liberals’ new “rising star” candidate for Governor, State Senator Jason Esteves.
Their “star” candidate for Lt. Governor? That would be State Senator Josh McLaurin who, in the midst of his constant irritant and inane speechmaking, voted to allow taxpayer funding of prisoner “sex change”operations. (Jason Esteves was too scared to cast a vote on the issue and fled the Chamber).
And, yes, also-rans like Keisha Lance Bottoms and “President of the Universe” Stacey Abrams are still vying for your votes. (The failed former Atlanta Mayor has already announced her bid). Their slate of candidates, which grows more woke and out-of-touch by the minute, represent a very real threat to everything we have built on our state – do not take this election lightly!
Fourth – this is a moment for the Church. Should we nominate bad candidates, we will lose. The Church must discern. The Church must engage. The Church must decide the primary and general elections. The Church must keep our winning issues front-and-center, and the Church must rise above the partisan noise and above man-made barriers and instead turn the attention to God-loving, neighbor-blessing policies that will bring flourishing the families, businesses, and communities of our state.
But, leftists don’t want faithful Georgians to decide their leaders. Millions are pouring in from out-of-state for out-of-touch candidates like Ossoff, Esteves, McLaurin, Lance Bottoms, and Abrams.
Prepare for battle and take a stand – donate to the only movement that is committed to shaping the battlespace, forging a pro-family ticket, and engaging the Church for victory. [[link removed]]
We are not nervous. We are not scared. We are ready.
If you were hoping for a longer respite following the 2024 election cycle, I would say sorry… except I am not. God has placed you in the state of Georgia, the state that is the focal point of the greatest battles for our culture. He has put yourself here, in this moment, for such a time as this. Pinch yourself with joy, my friend, to be chosen as a relied-upon soldier in His battle!
To Victory,
Cole Muzio

PS. Many of the posts, commentaries, and articles I’m seeing almost sound like an obituary for Governor Kemp’s political career – filled with gratitude for his service mixed with melancholy over what “might have been.” I want to avoid that tone. Yes, I am grateful to the Governor (very much so), but his task is not done. His decision to not place his own name on the ballot in 2026 does not in any way diminish the calling he is still fulfilling nor does it preclude his ongoing leadership in our movement. There will come a time to “look back on” his time as Governor, but that day is not this day.
What I do want to say is this – all Brian Kemp had to do was file paperwork for his candidacy, and he would have been a United States Senator… but he chose not to. In a day and age where holding political office in Washington, DC can be a grand and enriching endeavor, it is remarkable to see a man whose instinct wasn’t to grab at more power and who didn’t define his value by being in office. Instead, our Governor sought advice, talked to and prayed with his family, and decided to pass. For all the good policies and leadership we have seen under this Governor, it is that character that has blessed our state the most!
