HOME ABOUT US BECOME A MEMBER 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training: Strengthening Advocacy in Tribal Communities (In-Person) June 3 - 5, 2025 The Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women (CSVANW) invites new and experienced domestic violence and sexual assault advocates, first responders, and service providers to join our in-person 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training at CNM Space Solutions. This state-certified training equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and culturally responsive tools necessary to provide trauma-informed advocacy and crisis intervention in Tribal communities. Over the course of three days, participants will explore the historical and systemic roots of violence, gain critical insights into legal advocacy, and develop strategies for self-care and sustainability in this work. Training Highlights: 📅 Day 1: Foundations of Advocacy & Crisis Response 📅 Day 2: Legal Systems, Policy, & Advocacy 📅 Day 3: Systems Change & Sustainability in Advocacy This interactive, in-person training will provide participants with an opportunity to connect with other advocates, engage in meaningful discussions, and leave with actionable skills to better serve Native survivors and families. 💻 Location: CNM Space Solutions 5600 Eagle Rock Ave NE, Albuquerque, NM 87113 Join us as we work together to strengthen advocacy, empower communities, and create lasting change for Native families. REGISTER 40-Hour Certification To receive the full 40-Hour Certification, participants must also complete 16.25 hours of the OVC-TTAC Online Training. After completing the online training portion, advocates will upload their training hours to an AirTable link that will be provided. Here is the link to OVC trainings: OVC-TTAC Online Training Note: To receive certification for the June 40-Hour Core Advocacy Training, participants must be current residents of New Mexico and attend all three days of training. While all are welcome to attend and learn alongside us, certificates of completion will only be issued to those residing in New Mexico in alignment with our program guidelines.
