Folks, as you know I’ve led an effort to challenge Trump’s tariffs, which are wrecking the American economy.
A tariff is nothing more than a sales tax — a sales tax on the products that American families and businesses use every single day, like groceries, clothing, and building supplies. This tax is falling on everyone, but like all rising costs, it falls hardest on those who can afford it least.
It’s perfectly clear: People want lower costs, not higher! That’s why I’m laser-focused on doing everything I can possibly do in the Senate to reverse these ill-advised and price-hiking tariffs.
Last week, I forced a vote on my bill to terminate Trump’s tariffs — and the GOP blocked it. In fact, Senate Republicans are so invested in this tariff idiocy that they actually brought JD Vance over to break a tie so they can keep on damaging the American economy.
It makes no sense!
I’m not going to stop fighting against this Administration’s reckless and illegal trade wars that are driving up costs for everyday Americans and buckling our economy.
Someone has to stand up for families and businesses in the face of Donald Trump, and it’s clear the GOP is not going to do it.
