Dear John,
Administrators in Austin thought they could get away with it.
They thought they could repackage Critical Race Theory under a new name, sneak it into classrooms through backdoor platforms, and keep parents in the dark.
But Accuracy in Media caught them on hidden camera. And now Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton is suing Austin ISD because of what our investigators uncovered.
This isn’t just a political statement -- it’s a legal one.
Paxton is deposing the Superintendent and Board of Trustees for knowingly violating the state’s ban on Critical Race Theory and The 1619 Project.
Paxton's press release put it plainly: “It’s outrageous that Austin ISD officials think they can ignore state law to put woke indoctrination in Texas classrooms.”
The truth is, they knew what they were doing.
Austin ISD’s own Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion officers were caught admitting how they sidestep the law. They use a platform called Newsela, claiming it’s an unbiased curriculum resource. But in reality, it’s loaded with content from The 1619 Project -- an ideological rewrite of American history that’s explicitly banned in Texas classrooms.
Equity Officer Stephanie Harley said Newsela has “the nuance” and “lets us stay out of trouble.” Another administrator confirmed they know the workarounds.
This is what classroom corruption looks like: weaponized DEI departments, fake compliance, and deliberate efforts to radicalize students behind parents’ backs.
And Accuracy in Media is exposing all of it.
We've already forced action in Dallas, Hutto, Irving, Richardson, and Coppell. Now, we’re triggering lawsuits. And we’re not done.
AIM's next investigations are already underway. But I can’t continue without your help.
AIM doesn’t take government grants. We don’t have corporate sponsors. Every hidden camera, every field deployment, and every report we release is made possible by people like you.
Will you chip in $25, 50, $100 or more today to support the next investigation? Click here to donate securely.
Your gift keeps my investigators on the ground -- and keeps the pressure on corrupt officials who think no one is watching.
We’re turning footage into headlines, headlines into legal action, and legal action into real accountability.
Let’s keep going.
In liberty,
