John,
National is cutting women’s pay today.
Without any warning or consultation, National forced through a law change that will take money directly out of women’s pockets across New Zealand.
Why? Because they can’t make their budget add up.
Let that sink in. National can’t make their budget add up, so they are making women pay the price, John.
For years, hundreds of thousands of New Zealand women have fought for equal pay for work of equal value. Today, National turned their back on every single one – all to fund tax breaks for tobacco companies.
Christopher Luxon and National MPs must answer one simple question: Why do they believe women deserve less pay than men?
John, I’m asking for your help. Ask your local National MP this question directly on social media and share this message with your friends and whānau so they do the same.
We need to stand up now, so our daughters won’t have to – and we can’t do it without you.
Thank you,
Carmel
