Did you hear? In a recent NBC interview, Donald Trump was asked whether he believes he needs to uphold the Constitution during his presidency – and he responded "I don't know”!
It’s clear that Donald Trump has long believed he’s above the law: He’s defied court orders, told Gov. Janet Mills he was "the law,” nevermind Congress or the states, and in response to Gov. Kathy Hochul defending her state, he called himself the King. Now, after having taken the Oath of Office twice – vowing to “preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution” – he’s signaling that not even the Constitution will stand in the way of his extreme agenda.
Fortunately, Democratic governors are acting as a last line of defense against Trump’s disregard for our fundamental rights and the law – almost all of them have filed lawsuits and are suing Donald Trump and his administration for their blatant overreach.
That’s why we need to know where you stand immediately:
Do you believe Donald Trump is above the Constitution?
