Team,

Today is World Asthma Day, and it's no secret that one of the most direct causes of asthma is air pollution. Research shows that reduced air pollution led to a 20% reduced risk of childhood asthma from 1993 to 2014. California's clean vehicle laws are a major step towards healthier air for all—but now they're under attack.

We're reaching out to our community of passionate environmental activists like you to stand up in defense of California's clean air regulations. Will you answer the call and sign our petition, friend?

It's easy to forget the smog days of the 70's, when Los Angeles schools were forced to close to protect children from the toxic air outside. Thanks to the Clean Air Act and California's strong air quality standards like Advanced Clean Cars and Fleets, those days are in the past.

But we've got a long way to go. The American Lung Association uncovered that 46% of all Americans still breathe unhealthy levels of particles and ozone in 2025. Of the cities in the country with the worst air pollution, half are located in California. And studies show that preventable environmental hazards like air pollution contribute to 30% of the childhood asthma burden in our state.

Right now, House Republicans are trying to attack California's clean air laws and force us—and the 18 other states that follow our guidelines—to comply with rules that will make our air dirtier.

Friend, will you join EnviroVoters as we call on legislators to protect and uphold the clean air regulations that let us breathe safely?

Thanks for being a vital part of this movement,
