Dear friend, I hope you are doing well. April was a productive month, and I enjoyed spending half of it in Milwaukee! I got to meet with local community leaders, hear from my constituents, and more.
Connecting in WI-04
Wisconsin's Fourth Congressional District represents many communities with differing needs. I always work to ensure that these needs are being heard in D.C. and to ensure I am regularly hearing from local elected officials in our communities. At my district office, I had productive discussions with these leaders on critical issues including affordable housing, storm sewer repairs, road projects, and public safety.
Hearing From You

We had another successful Congressional Café with a great turnout! I so enjoyed hearing from you and really appreciated your engagement. Please stay engaged!
Protecting Medicaid

Right now, BadgerCare is at risk, as Republicans are floating cuts to pay for their tax giveaways to billionaires and big corporations. I held a roundtable discussion with my constituents at Independence First, where they shared their personal stories on why BadgerCare is so important to them and why cuts would be so devastating.
Hands off Social Security
I joined my constituents and Jessica Lapointe, President of AFGE Council 220, to sound the alarm on Musk’s DOGE and Trump’s efforts to destroy Social Security from the inside. We told them to keep their hands off Social Security!
Fighting the Lead Crisis in Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS)
There is no safe level of lead exposure for children, and I'm working to ensure that Milwaukee public health officials have the federal support to remove this toxin from our local public schools. Senator Baldwin and I led a letter asking Secretary Kennedy to restore the CDC’s lead experts and to approve Milwaukee’s request for federal assistance to respond to the lead exposure crisis in MPS. I recently discussed this effort on the Maggie Daun show.
On Judge Dugan's Arrest
I shared my concerns regarding Judge Dugan's arrest with CNN's Kaitlan Collins. Watch here.
Honoring WWII Trailblazers
Last week's Congressional Gold Ceremony was a long overdue recognition for the heroes of the Six Triple Eight Central Postal Directory Battalion, which was the only all-Black Women Army Corps Battalion to serve overseas during WWII. I was so proud to lead the effort to ensure that my constituent, Ms. Anna Mae Robertson, and the many other trailblazers finally received the recognition they deserve for their service. Listen to my full remarks here.
