J Streeters around the country are hard at work rallying support for a congressional letter urging the Netanyahu government to end its two-month blockade of humanitarian aid access into Gaza.

Let’s be clear: Hamas bears responsibility for triggering this crisis with its horrific attack on October 7. Over the last year and a half, the terror group has continued to use hostages as a bargaining chip while displaying callous disregard for civilians in Gaza as well.
At the same time, Netanyahu’s decision to block humanitarian aid at all entry points is a searing violation of our values. It does nothing to end this war nor free hostages. Security experts warn it only strengthens Hamas’ influence and endangers hostages further.
The letter outlines this precisely, and has been updated to reflect rapidly changing events.
We think it’s balanced, urgent and holds firm to our values. Others disagree.
Last week, AIPAC began actively lobbying against the letter – warning Democratic Members of Congress not to add their names.
Your support is critical in pushing back on their aggressive lobbying efforts – and we’d deeply appreciate it if you could sign the petition and call your representative.
With Netanyahu’s security cabinet having this week approved a major escalation – including the mass transfer of civilians to concentrated areas – speaking out about the scale of human suffering has become all the more important.
