Hi there,

Tariffs can be a helpful tool to protect our economy when used correctly, but the current implementation of tariffs has been reckless. And even worse, small businesses in NY-03 and across the country may suffer as a result.

I recently held a press conference with local business owners to address this critical economic situation. Companies like Fun World are predicting they won't turn a profit this year. Worksman Cycles, a bicycle manufacturer in Woodbury that's been around since 1898, feels the government has pulled the rug out from under them. Bernstein Display, which provides mannequins to major retailers, is also caught between higher costs and clients unwilling to absorb them.

Our small businesses are the backbone of our community. Any policy that would cause decades-old establishments to go under must be reconsidered.

You elected me to stand up for Long Island and Queens, and I’ll work with anyone from either party to make your lives better. But, the Administration’s implementation of tariffs has been deeply misguided, and I’ll continue urging them to change course.
