Just last week, AG Mayes joined a national coalition of attorneys general in a lawsuit to stop Donald Trump’s reckless—and likely illegal—use of tariffs that threaten to tank the American economy.
In a powerful interview on CNBC, AG Mayes exposed the devastating impact these tariffs are already having—not just nationwide, but right here at home. She also called out the misuse of the International Emergency Economic Powers Act (IEEPA), making it clear that Trump is once again abusing presidential power under the guise of an “emergency.”
However, we all know what Trump is doing is illegal and that congressional Republicans have no backbone to stand up to "King Trump."
The only thing we can do now is support elected officials who have the courage to stand up to Trump—and that’s exactly what we’re doing. We are fully behind Attorney General Mayes, and to be honest, we have to be.
