My opponent just proved—again—that he’s out of touch with the people of Southern California.

Earlier this week, he voted to ban gas-powered cars and force Californians into electric vehicles. This radical measure would strip away your freedom to choose the car that works best for you, your family, and your livelihood.

Let’s be clear:

🚫 This isn’t about “clean energy”—it’s about government control.

🚫 This is about politicians and Washington bureaucrats deciding what you’re allowed to drive.

🚫 This is about taking away options from working families, small businesses, and seniors who simply can’t afford expensive mandates.

( [link removed] ) Thankfully, enough lawmakers came together—with bipartisan support—to block this extreme ban. But make no mistake: the fight isn’t over.

This policy traces back to President Biden’s EPA, which, just weeks before he left office in December 2024, approved a waiver to let California phase out gas-powered car sales by 2035. And now, my opponent is falling in lockstep with this agenda, voting to force this policy on all of us.

I couldn’t disagree more.

✅ I believe Americans—not the government—should decide what cars they drive.

✅ I believe in protecting consumer choice, not punishing families for driving what they can afford.

✅ I believe we need leaders in Congress who will stand up for common sense—not cave to political extremism.

When I’m in Congress, I’ll fight to protect your freedom to choose—whether you drive electric, gas, hybrid, or diesel. You should be in the driver’s seat, not the government.
