Save AmeriCorps and Protect Outdoor Access for Young People

AmeriCorps is a critical program that connects our country's youth to the outdoors by creating jobs in conservation, disaster relief, and the outdoors. However, the Trump administration has slashed AmeriCorps' budget along with other federal funding cuts, putting 85 percent of its staff on leave and threatening the well-being of young people and their communities.

Millions of organizations, including the Sierra Club's Outdoors Alliance for Kids, rely on AmeriCorps for getting young people outdoors and creating a new generation of environmental stewards. It is also an essential program for equipping young people with the skills, training, and jobs to sustain our country's public lands and outdoors economy. Help reinstate AmeriCorps funding and demand that this critical workforce be rehired.

Tell Congress to Protect Funding for Clean School Buses

Children across the nation rely on school buses to get to and from school. The majority of these buses are diesel, which emit toxic air pollution and harm the health of kids and school drivers every day. Congress is currently looking at taking away $2 billion previously allocated for replacing old school buses with cleaner, healthier ones.

Send a message telling them to protect our children and clean air by protecting electric school bus funding.
