have an announcement to share:

help kick this campaign off the ground?
If you know me, you know that I am always ready to put in the hard work.
And from my earliest days as a state legislator, I’ve made my mark with
results.
Helping new moms keep their healthcare. Prioritizing community safety in
the face of a gun violence epidemic. Bringing new jobs and economic
opportunity to my district.
John, I know that
the problems facing folks here in Illinois and in communities across the
country won’t be easy to solve. Prices are too high, healthcare is hard to
get, and folks are worried about their kids’ futures.
We have hard work ahead. That’s what I do best.
I’m used to overcoming tough challenges. After moving here to Illinois
from New York, I put myself through college, then grad school, and later
on a PhD. I raised two kids. And I dedicated myself to public service.
I may not be one for flashy news hits or fiery speeches. Instead, I bring
grit and persistence to the job.
I’m asking for your support today because Illinois deserves a senator
who’s ready to put her head down and do the job, and Americans from coast
to coast deserve leaders who will do what’s right.
