If President Trump and his allies in Congress ram through a permanent extension of the Trump-GOP tax cuts that mainly benefit the wealthy and huge corporations, it will threaten Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid … and add more than $37 trillion to the debt by 2054.
That’s why Elon Musk, GOP extremists in Congress and Trump Administration officials have their eyes fixed on programs that seniors rely on. They believe that’s where the “easy” money is to help pay for their reckless tax scam benefiting the rich. It’s also why Musk, President Trump and other Administration officials are making baseless claims about massive fraud in Social Security — to help grease the skids for deep cuts in the future.
And if the GOP tax scam package passes it will immediately cut seniors’ programs.

As you know, the wealthy are already making money hand over fist at the expense of workers and retirees — they don’t need another government handout! These tax cuts will simply make the lives of the very wealthy even more lavish, while increasing the income gap between the rich and everyone else.
Instead of renewing massive tax cuts for the wealthy, our government should require millionaires and billionaires to pay their fair share of taxes, which will help reduce our federal debt and extend the solvency of programs like Social Security and Medicare for the future.
