As Her Bold Move gears up for what is proving to be a truly critical election year in states like Virginia, we are thrilled to announce our latest endorsement: Kimberly Pope Adams who is running for Virginia's House of Delegates, District 82!

Virginia is the last and only safe haven for abortion access in the south, and Kimberly is on track to unseat the strictly anti-choice incumbent Republican in her district. As the current presidential administration has openly expressed its desire to roll back women’s rights, we will be looking to state governments to defend us – we need more pro-choice, pro-women women in the rooms where those decisions are being made.

In June of 2023, Kimberly won her competitive Primary election. In the General that fall, she fell 53 votes short of winning the seat. Now, she is set to have a rematch against the same ineffective and out of touch opponent she ran against last cycle.

Here is what Kimberly had to say about choice: “As Delegate, I will vote for the constitutional amendment to protect a woman’s access to reproductive healthcare. Additionally, I will support paid time off, affordable childcare, and any additional relevant legislation presented in the General Assembly.”

Her opponent, Del. Kim Taylor, on the other hand, is vocally anti-choice. Her family is affiliated with Crisis Pregnancy Centers, which are fake clinics aimed at misleading pregnant women about their healthcare options. She has also sponsored a bill that would apply criminal penalties to abortion services.

This is critical because reproductive healthcare is on the ballot in Virginia this year. A constitutional amendment to enshrine abortion access for the only remaining access point in the South means we have to hold onto the *extremely slim* pro-choice majority in Virginia’s state government this fall. And here’s the thing, Kimberly’s opponent has already voted NO on the amendment. We need your help to unseat her.
