Trader Joe’s Recalls Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon

April 29, 2025 - A limited quantity of Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon is voluntarily being recalled because the topping packet may potentially contain an undeclared milk allergen. The product may contain milk that is not declared on the label. 500 units of the salad were mistakenly packaged with a sealed packet of parmesan cheese crumbles (instead of a packet of crispy onions).

People who have sensitivity or allergy to milk may be at risk of an adverse reaction if they consume this product.

Consumers who purchased Trader Joe’s Sesame Miso Salad with Salmon with the Use By dates of April 28, 2025 and April 29, 2025 are urged to discard the product if they or the person eating the product may have milk allergies.

Public Health Alert for Ineligible Pork Cracklings Products

May 1, 2025 - The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is issuing a public health alert for potato chip products containing chicharrón (pork cracklings) that were imported from the Republic of Colombia. Colombia is ineligible to export meat products to the United States. FSIS is issuing this public health alert to ensure that consumers are aware that these products should not be consumed. A recall was not requested because the products are no longer available for purchase.

The mixed bags of potato chips containing chicharrón were imported between August 2024 and March 2025.

East Trading Inc., Issues Alert

May 5, 2025 - East CK Trading, Inc. of Long Island City, NY, is recalling its 8-ounce packages of “Licorice Plum” food treats because they contained undeclared sulfites and unallowed color, Amaranth (E123). Consumers who have severe sensitivity to sulfites run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

The recalled “Licorice Plum” were distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders. The product comes in an 8-ounce, clear plastic bottle. The product UPC code is 0077-20729.
