Team, the House Committee on Natural Resources will vote on the fate of our precious public lands this week—and we need your help.

Will you fill out our one-minute form to tell your representative to keep public lands in public hands during the budget reconciliation process?

Congress is doing budget reconciliation right now, putting pen to paper to determine the line item cuts they will make to our programs, services, and projects. This week, they'll decide whether to defund and strip away protections on our vital landscapes so they can sell them off to the fossil fuel and mining industries.

EnviroVoters won't let our public lands be lost forever to the fossil fuel industry without a fight.

Remember, these program cuts are nothing short of a tax scam by Donald Trump, Elon Musk, and their billionaire allies. They want to steal $1.1 trillion from our communities so they can hand out $1.1 trillion in tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy elite and corporate polluters.

These lands belong to the American people to hike, camp, and play. Through them, we protect culture, history, and beloved natural landscapes for all.

Not only are House Republicans planning to sell off our lands, but they would also cut vital funding for the ones we have left. This is a massive threat to local jobs, especially in rural areas that rely on California's $81.5 billion outdoor recreation economy. This destruction of good union jobs like rangers, environmental educators, wildfire crews, conservation scientists, maintenance teams, and other park workers is calculated. House Republicans want to make services inaccessible, make our land and water dirty, and make the public lose interest in national parks so they can sell them off without resistance.

Will you stand with EnviroVoters by filling out our quick form to urge your representative to protect our precious public lands and the workers who care for them? [link removed]

Want to take the next step to defend public lands? Our Park Protectors cohort is meeting tomorrow, and we'd love to see you there. This partnership with California Native Plant Society is a space for young adults (18-35) in Northern California to connect and discuss environmental issues, news, and advocacy opportunities. The next virtual meeting is on Tuesday, May 6 from 4-5 PM. If you're interested in learning more about public lands and environmental activism, click this link: [link removed]

Thanks for being a vital part of this movement.
