This week, Kamala announced a bill with Cory Booker and the Congressional Black Caucus to hold police accountable for misconduct.

It’s called the Justice in Policing Act and it’s a step we can take on the federal level to hold police accountable as part of a broader solution.

However, in order to pass this legislation, we need more Democrats in the Senate. Mitch McConnell and his allies will do anything they can to water down this bill and prevent any real, substantive change.

That’s why today, we’re asking for your help to flip the Senate and pass legislation like this that will re-imagine public safety and make our communities safer.

So if you are able, will you make a donation to help flip the Senate and pass legislation like the Justice in Policing Act so we can hold the police accountable?

This is the first-ever comprehensive police accountability and reform legislation on the federal level to address police misconduct.

We must re-imagine public safety at the state and local level. For cities that often spend more than one third of their budget on policing, we must take a hard look at whether some of those resources should be reallocated towards jobs, education, and health care.

This bill would take an important step towards achieving justice for Ahmaud, Breonna, George and for those who came before and never got their justice.

So thank you for supporting this important piece of legislation. Together, we will secure justice for those we lost and fight for a safer future for our loved ones.

For the people,

Team Kamala
