Hi John,
Donald Trump has been president for a little more than 100 days, but he's
managed to fit in enough corruption for 100 years. He's used the power of
the presidency to [ [link removed] ]line his own pockets in unprecedented ways. This
corruption benefits Trump and his allies, but it leaves the rest of us
behind. When corruption rules, the government is accountable to the
   highest bidder, not its citizens.
   Let's break it down 👇:
[ [link removed] ]Making Bribery Great Again
The Trump administration [ [link removed] ]ended bans on gifts from lobbyists, [ [link removed] ]relaxed
enforcement of foreign bribery laws, and [ [link removed] ]reclassified allies like Elon
Musk as "special government employees," avoiding ethics rules on conflicts
   of interest.
[ [link removed] ]Profiting While in Office
Every president since Washington has declined to do business while serving
their term…until Trump. The most egregious, and currently evolving,
example is his [ [link removed] ]investment in crypto. Bloomberg says the Trump family's
crypto fortune is nearing $1B, and the Trump family takes in 75% of the
revenue from his crypto company. The $Trump and $Melania coins were
launched on day one of his administration. Days later, the SEC dropped
memecoin oversight—and [ [link removed] ]Trump hosted a private dinner for the top 25
$Trump investors, spiking its value. And now, a stablecoin launched by
Donald Trump's World Liberty Financial crypto venture [ [link removed] ]is being used by
an Abu Dhabi investment firm for its $2 billion investment in crypto
   exchange Binance.
[ [link removed] ]Benefiting Friends and Allies
One of the hallmarks of corruption is rewarding those around you, and
[ [link removed] ]Elon Musk is the biggest (but not the only!) example. Musk donated
hundreds of millions to Trump's campaign and now advises the government
agencies that regulate Tesla and SpaceX. At the same time, [ [link removed] ]government
agencies are slashing oversight of Musk's ventures.
Corruption doesn't just enrich the president; it hurts everyday Americans
and leaves them stuck with a government that isn't accountable to them or
their needs. Is TrumpCoin helping the American people, or just helping
Trump turn a profit? Does letting lobbyists give gifts to administration
officials help ensure things like clean air and water for everyone, or
does it ensure corporations can do what they want without regard for
   citizens?
Our government works best when it works for all of us, not just the
wealthy few in power. We can make that happen. History has shown that it
only takes 3.5% of a population working together to effect real change. In
the United States, that means if just 11 million of us care enough, we can
fix our broken system and end the corruption rotting our government from
   the inside out.
We're fueling the movement now. [ [link removed] ]Your donation makes it possible.
