FIRST: Kim Reynolds announced she wasn’t running for re-election, leaving Iowa’s Governor’s race wide open.

THEN: Word spread that extremist Republicans— from Attorney General Brenna Bird to State Rep. Pat Grassley — are considering running to replace Reynolds. Remember, these are the same people who support Trump and his tariffs that are a direct threat to Iowa’s economy.

NOW: IDP needs to do everything we possibly can to make sure no insider lapdogs become our state’s next Governor. That means hosting events, traveling across all 99 counties, running digital ads, and more to make sure Iowan voters know the truth.
