Folks, Donald Trump just said that he has no intention of firing Pete Hegseth over his carelessness with sensitive information on Signal.

He said his job is “totally safe.”

I’ll be straight with you, this is completely unacceptable. Pete Hegseth’s continuous carelessness on Signal – texting classified war plans to a reporter and sharing sensitive information with family members – puts the Trump administration’s unbroken pattern of incompetence on full display.

I’ve been saying this for weeks: Hegseth is so far in over his head in a job with very high stakes. And with his incompetence continuing to harm our national security, he needs to go.

I will keep fighting to hold the Trump administration accountable because I refuse to let Trump and Hegseth’s sloppy, blatant irresponsibility go unanswered.
