The Nebraska Department of Revenue, Property Assessment Division, has revised the following documents after the Governor's approval of LB501 on April 7, 2025:
As well as a new form, Assessor Report of Damaged Real Property, Form 425A. Form 425 is to be used by owners of real property whose property has suffered significant property damage on January 1 and before July 1 of the current assessment year. The property owner may file Form 425 with the county clerk on or before July 15. For more information, please review the instructions on the Form 425. Form 425A is to be used by the county assessors when Form 425 is filed, which will report to the county board of equalization the findings of the property after an inspection and review of the property after the damage has occurred.
