Employment and Labor Force Characteristics for Married Householders and their Spouses
Today, May 5, the Census Bureau released a table package featuring estimates of selected employment and labor force characteristics of householders and their spouses ages 16 to 64 in civilian same- and opposite-sex married households. The estimates, based on the 2023 American Community Survey, are available for the nation, states, the District of Columbia, and 15 selected metropolitan areas. At the national level, estimates are available by sex, race, and Hispanic origin.
Geographic Mobility in the United States by Birth Cohorts or Generations
On Tuesday, May 6, the Census Bureau is set to release a report based on 2005-2023 American Community Survey 1-Year Estimates showing geographic mobility – the movement of people within and across geographic boundaries – by birth cohort. Birth cohorts are groups of people born during a specific time frame who pass through life together.
Nonemployer Statistics by Demographics
On Thursday, May 8, the Census Bureau will release the 2022 Nonemployer Statistics by Demographics (NES-D). Also within this release are demographic data by urban and rural classification, receipt size of firm, legal form of organization, and characteristics of nonemployer business owners. The NES-D is an annual statistical series that uses existing administrative records and Census Bureau data to link demographic characteristics to the universe of nonemployer businesses.
