Hi John,
In just 100 days since the Trump administration reclaimed the White House, the ACLU's organizing machine has exploded into action. Across the country, we’ve been expanding our infrastructure, equipping local teams with tools to respond to attacks on our communities—and building power where it's needed most. This isn’t just about resisting—it’s about creating a movement built to endure, adapt, and ultimately prevail. And here’s what we’ve already done together:
|
OUR FIRST 100 DAYS OF ACTION |
-
Held Know Your Rights trainings for over 10,000 activists in English and Spanish—arming volunteers with tools to defend immigration and First Amendment rights.
- Led rallies outside the Supreme Court and Office of Personnel Management, drawing hundreds of ACLU activists into the streets to defend the rights of transgender people and rally alongside unjustly fired federal workers.
-
Welcomed 65,133 new members into our People Power community.
- Our volunteers across the country have sent 1,246,551 texts and made 13,753 calls to supporters nationwide to mobilize them in defense of basic civil liberties.

That’s what People Power looks like—and it’s only the beginning. We need you to help us get to the next step. |

Congress just passed a budget that opens the door to massive cuts to Medicaid—threatening care for millions of disabled people, seniors, and children. We must speak out. There’s no time to wait: send a message to Congress and tell them to protect Medicaid at all costs.
|
ICE has arrested students like Mahmoud Khalil, Rümeysa Öztürk and Badar Khan Suri in retaliation for protected speech. The Trump administration is trying to silence dissent. We won’t let them. We must draw a line in the sand: tell Congress to defend our right to free speech and vote NO on any bill that would punish noncitizens for exercising their First Amendment rights. |
At the ACLU, we aren’t just hosting trainings- we’re taking action together. Join our community of activists who are taking action by phone banking, text-banking, letter-writing, and more. We’ll train you up in the skills you need to take action with us so that you can defend your communities. Whether it’s immigrant rights or gender affirming care, we won’t back down—and we hope you’ll join our activist community. |
Whether it’s the first 100 days or the next 4 years, we’re with you every step of this fight. And we’re counting on you to stay with us. In solidarity, – ACLU People Power |
