TELL CONGRESS: To pay for Trump's budget, GOP leaders want to sell off vast tracts of public land to private developers, fossil fuel corporations, and other special interests. Our lawmakers need to stand against these disastrous proposals. Sign the petition: Congress must reject the sale of our public lands!
Hi, Extremist Republicans in Congress are reviving one of the most dangerous ideas in American politics: selling off our public lands. As part of budget negotiations, GOP leaders are pushing proposals to sell off vast tracts of public land to private developers, fossil fuel corporations, and other special interests. They're trying to exploit the affordable housing crisis to ram through this deeply unpopular agenda with minimal public scrutiny. Selling off public lands won’t fix the budget or solve the housing crisis. What it will do is damage fragile ecosystems, displace Indigenous communities, and jeopardize rural economies built around outdoor recreation. Sign the petition: Congress must reject the sale of our public lands! Americans across the political spectrum value public lands — from national parks and forests to wildlife refuges and open spaces. Attempts to privatize them to fund tax cuts or appease special interests go against the will of the people and threaten the future of the places we all depend on for recreation, clean air and water, wildlife habitat, and cultural preservation. Let’s be clear: this has nothing to do with solving the housing crisis or balancing the budget — and everything to do with lining the pockets of political donors, undermining conservation, and reversing decades of environmental protections. Our lawmakers must stand against any proposals to sell off America’s public lands. Sign the petition: Hands off our public lands! Thanks for taking action, Sources:
