Last week, news broke that Donald Trump was planning to hold a military parade — on his birthday — through the streets of Washington, D.C.

Here is the truth:

This parade would not be a national celebration of service — it would be a shameful celebration of one man's insatiable ego.

But also, this is a parade that would cost tens of millions of dollars according to news reports, and at a time when Trump and Elon Musk are looking to cut veterans health care and housing benefits to pay for tax cuts for billionaires.

It's a disgrace.

This isn't the first time Trump has wanted a military parade for himself. During his first term he tried and tried again. But each time he was stopped because of public outcry.

So here's what we want to do:

Please sign our petition telling Congress you OPPOSE any effort to hold a military parade honoring Donald Trump in Washington, D.C. and that you OPPOSE any effort to cut veterans' health care and housing benefits.
