Meet Our Staff
At Power to Decide, we’re committed to improving reproductive well-being for all. Fulfilling that mission takes a passionate team committed to providing trusted information, expanding access to quality services, and driving meaningful culture change. In a new blog post ([link removed]) , Monica Edwards, Senior Manager, Public Policy, answers five questions about her work at Power to Decide and why she believes everyone deserves access to reproductive care.
Repro in the News
Each month we round up five interesting articles on sexual health you may have missed. This month’s roundup ([link removed]) features pieces on abortion resources, pharmacists’ prescribing authority, and more.

Federal Update
New Policy Resources as Threat of Medicaid Cuts Loom
As the House continues its partisan work on a reconciliation bill, huge cuts to Medicaid are being contemplated, including reductions in federal matching funds to states, block grants, per capita caps, work requirements that add red tape, and blocking Planned Parenthood from serving Medicaid patients. Each and every one of these proposals would have a disastrous impact on birth control access for those struggling to make ends meet. Power to Decide has released a new factsheet ([link removed]) on Medicaid and its role in contraceptive access and the safety net, and you can check out this video ([link removed]) from Dr. Raegan on how important Medicaid is for her patients.
Sign Petition to Reverse Funding Cuts to Title X Family Planning Program
As we reported last month, the Trump administration launched another attack on sexual and reproductive health care by withholding funding ([link removed]) for the Title X program, which provides free or low-cost family planning care for people who otherwise can’t afford it. Help us take action by signing our petition ([link removed]) to HHS Secretary RFK Jr. to stop the attacks on Title X and restore funding. For more on why the Title X Family Planning Program is critical, watch a new video ([link removed]) of Dr. Raegan explaining what it means for her patients.
State Updates
On Monday, April 21, a district court judge halted ([link removed]) enforcement of two laws passed by the Wyoming legislature earlier this year. As a result, Wellspring Health Access, who operate the sole abortion clinic, is resuming abortion services this week after a pause of nearly two months.
As of today, there are no clinics providing abortion in 13 states ([link removed]) . This reflects 12 states with total abortion bans, and one state (North Dakota) without any clinics.
As always, AbortionFinder.org ([link removed]) is your resource for the latest on abortion laws and providers in your state.
In these increasingly uncertain times, your support makes a powerful difference. It helps us fight mis- and disinformation, drive policy change, and connect people to trusted resources such as AbortionFinder and Bedsider.
Consider making a gift today. Your generosity powers all our work. It helps us respond faster, reach further, and ensures no one is left to navigate their sexual and reproductive health alone.
