CYD is extending the $50 Early Registration rate ([link removed]) through this Sunday, May 11, 2025, for our upcoming convention in Anaheim ([link removed]) , and CYD extended the date to charter your CYD chapter ([link removed]) for two more weeks! More details on both - and more - below.
Take advantage of the $50 Early Registration rate for the upcoming 2025 CYD Convention presented by Toni Atkins for Governor 2026, Pechanga Band of Indians and AirBNB ([link removed]) . Register now to save money and attend the Convention ([link removed]) taking place the weekend of May 30 - June 1, 2025, at the Anaheim Convention Center in conjunction with the California Democratic Party Convention ([link removed]) !
I am also excited to share that the CYD Awards Committee convened and selected the following awardees to be honored during our General Session meeting at convention: Los Angeles County Young Democrats (Outstanding YD Chapter of the Year), UC Merced College Democrats (Outstanding College Democrats Chapter of the Year), Hesperia High School Democrats (Outstanding High School Democrats Chapter of the Year), Sacramento County Young Democrats (Outstanding Project of the Year), Maiya De La Rosa (Outstanding Leadership Award), Assemblymember Jessica Caloza (Member of the Year), Assemblymember Patrick Ahrens (Member of the Year), Senator Josh Newman (Mentor Award), and Lorena Gonzalez (Vanguard Award).

CYD CHAPTER & CAUCUS CHARTERING PAST DUE! All Young Democrats chapters and caucuses in California must be properly chartered with the California Young Democrats to be eligible to vote in CYD elections and meetings. CYD has extended the 2025 CYD Open Chartering Period one last time prior to our 2025 Convention to make sure all chapters and caucuses are able to fully participate. All returning and new chapters must submit their respective chartering information and documents for 2025 no later than Sunday, May 18, 2025.
