** The last frontier could be America's secret weapon to energy dominance.
------------------------------------------------------------
Fox News ([link removed]) (5/5/25) opinion: "When President Donald J. Trump stood before a joint session of Congress earlier this year and declared Alaska LNG a top national priority, he sent a strong signal to the world that America would once again act boldly to unleash the full might of its energy potential. If his administration can follow through on that vision and continue to move at the speed that has so far defined his second term, the Alaska LNG pipeline will be one of the defining achievements of his presidency. Before the end of President Trump’s second term, Alaska LNG — a project that was once seen as an improbable long shot — will be pumping energy out of the ground, supporting American consumers in Alaska, Alaska’s crucial military bases and then our Asian allies in the Pacific. The proposed pipeline, stretching over 800 miles from the North Slope to the southern coast of Alaska is a
strategic masterstroke. It reflects exactly what President Trump’s administration is all about: prioritizing American jobs and strengthening our nation on the world stage. When operational, the Alaska Gasline Development Corporation (AGDC) estimates the pipeline could carry each day at 3.5 billion cubic feet per day. To put that in perspective, just this one project could produce nearly all the natural gas that Russia exports to the world."

** "Cutting red tape will level the playing field and allow American companies to make investments that strengthen domestic energy security and benefit Gulf of America states and their communities."

Winter came and went, and it was a wake-up call for Europe.

(5/1/25) article: "U.S. LNG exports jumped by 20% between January and April from a year earlier as buying activity in Europe remained strong amid a cold winter and low gas inventory levels. U.S. LNG shipments hit a record high for the January-April period of 34.6 million metric tons, according to data from Kpler cited by Reuters columnist Gavin Maguire. For most of the past winter, European benchmark gas prices were higher than Asian spot LNG prices for delivery into north Asia, attracting more cargoes to European import terminals. Additionally, LNG demand in China and the rest of Asia has been tepid at best, which has helped Europe as competition for cargoes hasn’t been as fierce as in previous years. At the end of the winter heating season, Europe had its natural gas storage sites depleted to levels last seen three years ago as a cold winter and low renewable energy output, with low wind speeds and little sunshine, forced countries to use more gas than in the past three winters."
Guess they no longer have a need for speed.

(5/3/25) reports: "Formula One's switch to 100% sustainable fuel from next season is proving much more expensive than expected, according to Mercedes team chief Toto Wolff. The cost of the fuel was raised by one of the engine manufacturers at a recent Formula One commission meeting that includes team bosses and major stakeholders. 'What makes it so expensive is that the whole supply chain and energy contribution needs to be green,' Wolff told reporters at the Miami Grand Prix, round six of the season. Wolff said Mercedes' fuel partner Petronas was fully committed technically but looking into whether a regulation change could make sustainable fuel also more financially sustainable."
Common sense wins again.

(5/2/25) reports: "U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright visited Georgia on Friday, the same day the Trump administration announced it was reversing a Biden-era policy restricting certain gas products. The announcement, made just minutes before Wright addressed employees at Rinnai American Corporation, essentially saved the company. Rinnai makes efficient, tankless hot water heaters using a different form of energy cycling than your typical in-home system. It’s the only thing the Griffin factory makes, and they’re the only manufacturer in North America that builds that type of system. But in the waning days of the Biden White House, their products ended up on an Energy Policy and Conservation Act (EPCA) list of heavily mandated products that ranged from decorative fireplaces to certain showerheads. The products were classified as 'miscellaneous gas' products and were effectively banned from use under the weight of the restrictions. 'What a shame to see an awesome plant and hundreds of jobs
disappear if this plant were forced to close,' said Wright. 'This humming, modern factory is proof that common sense matters.'"
