Dear John,

Well, that’s a wrap on
[link removed]
Second Chance Month 2025! All month long, we worked alongside friends like you to raise awareness and support second chances for our neighbors with a criminal record. More than 1,000 churches and organizations joined us as official Second Chance Month partners.
April may be over, but there is so much more to be done as we serve those impacted by incarceration.

One of my favorite highlights of April was our

lobbying day in Washington, D.C. The Values Action Team on the Hill hosted many Prison Fellowship staff and Justice Ambassadors for a special event where we heard from two congressmen, Reps. Robert Aderholt and Barry Moore. Our group spent the day lobbying for our Second Chance Month resolution in the House and the Senate. Many of our Justice Ambassadors shared their own powerful second chance stories.

Our Justice Ambassadors are a dedicated team of volunteers who serve on the frontlines of our advocacy initiatives on the state and federal levels. You don’t need a law degree or a background in policy to make a difference! If you feel the nudge to take your advocacy a step further,

apply to become a Justice Ambassador. Prison Fellowship will provide you with tools and training to raise your voice for justice that restores.

By removing barriers to second chances, we can give hope to so many people and families—not only in April but all year. With Mother’s Day coming up this Sunday, I’m thinking about currently and formerly incarcerated mothers who need the hope of a second chance. Will you join me in remembering these moms in prayer? They need to know God has a plan and a purpose for their lives—

and that’s why your support matters.

Your support helps give moms like Nancy a way forward after her incarceration. She got sober, completed college, and started a business in Oregon. Today, she finds joy rebuilding family bonds and staying involved in her local church.
I was at my most vulnerable, darkest, worst, hardest part of my life, and I was just looking for somewhere to turn. I felt just washed [by] the blood of Jesus Christ, forgiven and a new creation. I was able to have that start inside of the walls because of Prison Fellowship, and I am forever grateful. If there’s any way that I can give back in any kind of way, I’m here.
—Nancy

Thank you for your prayers and
