Since 1985, this special week has honored the commitment and hard work of government employees like you—dedicated individuals serving at federal, state, county, local, and tribal levels. At AFGE, we are incredibly proud to represent over 750,000 federal and D.C. government workers, including you, John, who tirelessly advance our nation’s progress.

This week, we extend our heartfelt thanks to you. Your unwavering service to the American people is an inspiration. Whether it's supporting our veterans, delivering essential benefits to those in need, responding to natural disasters, or the myriad other ways you serve; your efforts are critical to our national success.

These last few months have been some of the hardest that the federal workforce has had to face in a generation. Through it all, we have stuck together and shown the world the resilience, fight and commitment that government workers have to their mission and the people they serve.
