Yes we can, because we’ll do it together.
Over the last several weeks, I’ve met with voters all across the city, from Brownsville and East New York, to Allerton, Washington Heights, Bensonhurst, and Crown Heights. From Staten Island and Southeast Queens, to the Financial District and the Upper West Side.
One thing that I’ve heard across every borough and neighborhood is that, no matter where they live, New Yorkers want the same things: they want a life they can afford, they want dangerously mentally ill homeless off the streets and into treatment, they want safe subways and neighborhoods, good schools, and dignity for all. They want experienced, steady leadership they can count on, and a government that stops talking and starts delivering.
In exactly 40 days, the first votes will be cast in this race to determine New York City’s future. Early voting begins on June 14th. You and I have 40 days to make sure that every person we know—every NYC voter who is eligible to vote in this Primary election—has a plan to vote.
Will you commit, today, to contacting TEN of your friends and family in New York City and asking them to make a plan to vote?
40 days will pass before we know it, and I will work day and night until Election Day to earn every vote. I won’t take a minute for granted. I value every vote, every volunteer hour, every handshake, and every gesture of support. I value you.
Yes, we can make New York City affordable, safe, healthy, educated and fair. But none of us will do it alone. We will do it together, and I am grateful for your partnership.
With hope and hard work,
