Gina is a Spotlight candidate and a powerhouse for progress. A first-generation American raised by a single mom in San Antonio, Gina learned early on the value of service. She earned an Air Force ROTC scholarship to Boston University and later served as an intelligence officer. She went on to lead key national security and economic portfolios in the Executive Office of the President, and in 2021, she became the first woman of color and first out lesbian confirmed as Under Secretary of the Air Force.
