Email from Coalition to Stop Violence Against Native Women Join the movement!     HOME ABOUT US BECOME A MEMEBR   Good morning Cycle Breakers! Today, May 5th, we recognize the National Day of Awareness for Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Relatives (MMIWR), a day to honor those taken too soon and to call for justice, healing, and systemic change. The crisis of abduction and murder continues to devastate Native families, rooted in systemic violence and longstanding harms. On some reservations, Native women experience murder rates more than ten times the national average. These tragedies are often directly tied to domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and other forms of violence disproportionately impacting Indigenous communities. Across the nation, grassroots movements, families, and Tribal Nations are rising, demanding visibility, strengthening collective action, and honoring those we have lost. CSVANW stands in unwavering solidarity with survivors, families, and communities, advocating for safety, justice, and the protection of Indigenous women, girls, and relatives. We invite you to join us, alongside organizations, grassroots efforts, communities, and families, as we honor the lives lost, uplift the voices of survivors, and continue the fight for systemic change. Together, we hold space for remembrance and action. Wishing you a great week ahead. Learn More About MMIWR Join us on social media to keep the conversation going and raise awareness for MMIWR. CSVANW joins BlueSky! What is BlueSky? Bluesky is a decentralized alternative to X, offering a more transparent, user-controlled space. CSVANW transitioned away from X as we continue to reflect on how our digital presence aligns with our core values of safety, equity, and community care. We’re excited to join BlueSky, a platform that offers a space more in line with our commitment to Indigenous-centered dialogue and connection. You can still connect, engage, and organize with us in this new space. Our mission remains unchanged: uplifting and advocating for Native women, families, and communities.
