Unleashing American Manufacturing

I am proud to join Administrator Loeffler and Senator Ernst in unveiling new legislation to support small business manufacturing. Because of President Trump’s America first agenda, manufacturing has boomed. This legislation will double loan limits for small manufacturers, increasing access to capital and boosting 'Made in America' products.

Passed Seven Bills Out of Committee

As Chairman of the House Committee on Small Business, I serve as a voice for Main Street here in Washington. I am proud to report that seven bills addressing the needs of small business owners across the country passed my committee this week.

My bill, the “Business Over Ballots Act,” returns the Small Business Administration to its core mission of serving Main Street and prevents the SBA from being weaponized for political purposes. I am honored to work alongside President Trump and Administrator Loeffler to make Main Street great again!

Introduced the Federal Reserve Financial Accountability and Transparency Act

For too long, burdensome regulations have been piled onto our financial institutions without considering the impacts. It is time that Congress has increased oversight and transparency over the Federal Reserve’s operations and expenses. My bill requires reporting on spending and staffing by activity, identification of top research areas, engagements with international banking organizations, and disclosure of costs for new regulations. Watch my line of questioning in this week’s subcommittee hearing here. Click here to read my full press release.

TAKE IT DOWN Act Passed the House

As technology advances, predators are using AI to create deceptive material and exploit victims. The bipartisan TAKE IT DOWN Act will hold abusers accountable and empower victims of online abuse to have deepfake content or explicit material shared without their consent removed. I am proud to send this crucial legislation to President Trump’s desk to be signed into law.

Celebrating President Trump’s First 100 Days

In the first 100 days of President Trump’s second term, historic progress has been made toward fulfilling the mandate to get our nation back on track. From day one, Trump implemented policies to secure our borders, unleash American energy independence, deliver peace through strength, restore common sense in America, and cut waste, fraud, and abuse from the federal government. House Republicans are working to codify President Trump’s executive orders and reverse Biden's harmful policies that have plagued Main Street for too long. As your Representative in Congress, I will continue to work alongside this administration to uphold the values that matter most to you as we work to make America safe, independent, strong, healthy, and great again.

2025 Congressional Art Competition Winners

Each spring, members of the U.S. House of Representatives sponsor a nationwide high school art competition. I was impressed by the submissions from this year’s TX-25 artists, and I am confident they have bright, creative futures ahead.
