Becoming a caregiver for my husband after a traumatic brain injury altered every part of my life. The Care Fellowship gave me a community when I needed it most.

What I gained through the program was community: people who understood my concerns, my questions, my feelings, my life . I am proud to be a part of this incredible network of caregivers and care recipients, and I want even more people to be able to experience this program to have access to this kind of support.

Over the last five years, the Fellowship program has graduated more than 300 Fellows. Many have gone on to shine a light on the importance of care by advocating for stronger care policies, sharing their stories in the news and documentaries, and even launching their own nonprofits.

This year, we received more applications than ever before, demonstrating just how much our communities need a program like this. Over the next 4 months, this new cohort will:

* Develop skills in communication and digital advocacy.
* Learn more about federal and state policy and how to talk to elected leaders.
* Figure out their place in the care movement – whether it’s as a creative, an organizer, or something else!
