Dear Friend,
Good afternoon, and welcome to our
Weekend Update.
In just 100 days, President Donald J.
Trump has worked to strengthen our national security, create an
America-First economy, deliver taxpayer savings, restore global
leadership, and bring commonsense back to Washington.
The border is secure, American energy
is recovering, jobs are coming back, inflation is falling,
and military recruitment is surging—among many other things. President
Trump has a plan that will lead to long-term success for the United
States.
I joined House Republicans at media row
to highlight President Trump's many accomplishments in his first 100
days.

I joined "Newsline" on Newsmax
to discuss the President's first 100 days and the latest on the "big,
beautiful bill." Click
here or below to watch.

Free trade has meant unfair trade for too
long — but that’s beginning to change.
President Trump has a clear vision and a
plan to rebalance trade and lay the foundation for long-term
prosperity through an America-First economy.
I joined CNN News Central to discuss why
this approach matters and other key aspects of President Trump’s first
100 days. Click

Promises Made, Promises Kept: In just 100
days, President Trump is delivering measurable results in border
security, energy, the economy, and national security.
- America’s Golden Age: Inflation down, jobs up, border
secure — America is safer, stronger, and more prosperous.
- 100 Days of Action: President Trump accomplished more
in 100 days than Biden did in four years — by the numbers.
- Momentum Building: House Republicans are advancing the
America First agenda through one transformational bill.
Border Security & Immigration
- Border Crossings Plummeted: Southwest border
apprehensions fell 94%, from 137,473 in March 2024 to 7,181 in March
2025.
- Arrests and Deportations: ICE arrested 32,809 illegal
aliens; over 100,000 have been deported since January.
- Tough Action: Construction of the border wall
restarted; Remain in Mexico policy reinstated; criminal aliens
transferred to Guantanamo Bay.
- Fighting Cartels: Drug cartels are classified as
Foreign Terrorist Organizations to dismantle their operations.
Energy Dominance
- Gas Prices Down: National average gas prices fell 6.3%
since January 2025.
- Drilling Expanded: 625 million acres re-opened for
offshore oil exploration.
- LNG Projects Approved: Three major LNG export projects
greenlit — Commonwealth LNG, Golden Pass LNG, and Calcasieu Pass
2.
Restoring Accountability and
Transparency
- Waste Cut: $160 billion in federal waste identified by
the Department of Government Efficiency.
- USAID Eliminated: Saved taxpayers $40 billion by
dismantling the U.S. Agency for International Development.
- Federal Bureaucracy Downsized: Executive actions
initiated to close the Department of Education and halt operations at
the CFPB.
- Common-Sense Restored: DEI mandates ended; regulations
reviewed to safeguard Second Amendment rights; censorship efforts
dismantled.
Restoring the Economy
- Inflation Slowed: The Core Consumer Price Index (CPI)
increase slowed to 2.8%, the lowest annual rate since March
2021.
- Manufacturing Jobs Rebound: 10,000 manufacturing jobs
were added in Trump’s first full month, and 228,000 total jobs were
added in March 2025, exceeding expectations.
- Auto Industry Recovery: 8,900 auto jobs gained in
February after losing 27,300 in Biden’s final year.
- Trade Negotiations Restructured: Over 75 countries are
back at the table for new, fairer trade deals that benefit U.S.
workers. Securing Investments in
America
- President Trump’s leadership has unleashed over $2
trillion in new U.S.-based investments in just his first 100
days.
Reconciliation and the Big, Beautiful
Bill
- Border, Energy, Security: House Republicans are
advancing a comprehensive bill to finish the wall, unleash energy
production, and strengthen national security.
- Stopping the Biden Tax Hike: Democrats want the most
significant tax increase in history — Republicans are fighting to
prevent it.
- Backing American Workers: Legislation
prioritizes families, workers, and small businesses.
- Economic Protection: Passing the bill prevents a
crushing tax burden and positions America for long-term growth.
President Trump is unleashing American
energy dominance once again.
A new Department of the Interior rule,
made possible by President Trump’s recent executive order, will boost
oil production in the Gulf of America by 100,000 barrels a day —
reversing Biden’s offshore drilling bans and lifting burdensome
regulations that slowed U.S. energy development.
With streamlined permitting and expanded
reservoir access, the White House is lowering energy costs, creating
jobs, and strengthening national security. Gas prices have already
gone down by 10 cents a gallon. You

A few weeks ago, I recorded a podcast
with some of my favorite Trump supporters, the MAGA Boyz. We were
together on that tragic day in Butler County when an assassin
attempted to murder President Trump and killed and severely wounded
those attending the rally. We spoke about our experience and support
of the President's strong and decisive actions to Make America Great
Again. Click

IN NEWS YOU WON’T HEAR IN THE
MAINSTREAM MEDIA: Earlier this week, President Trump signed a
Presidential Memorandum to crack down on illegal “straw donor” and
foreign contributions in American elections, following reports and
congressional investigations regarding potentially unlawful activities
through ActBlue and other online fundraising platforms.
- The Memorandum directs the Attorney General to investigate and
take appropriate action concerning allegations that online fundraising
platforms were used to make “straw” or “dummy” contributions
and foreign contributions to U.S. political candidates and committees,
all of which violate the law.
- Specifically, the Memorandum notes that a congressional
investigation revealed significant fraud schemes using ActBlue
and hundreds of ActBlue donations from foreign IP addresses using
prepaid cards over a 30-day period during the 2024 election cycle,
despite the fact that it is illegal for foreign nationals to
contribute to U.S. elections.
- It instructs the Attorney General to report the investigation
results to the President, through the Counsel to the President.
PROTECTING AMERICAN
DEMOCRACY: President Trump is taking action to address malign
actors and foreign nationals who seek to illegally influence American
elections, undermining the integrity of our electoral process.
- Recently uncovered evidence suggests that online fundraising
platforms are being used to launder excessive and prohibited
contributions to political candidates and committees.
- Bad actors have sought to evade federal sources and amount
limitations by breaking down significant contributions into smaller
ones, often attributing them to numerous individuals without their
consent or knowledge.
- These “straw donations” are frequently made through “dummy”
accounts, using methods such as gift cards or prepaid credit cards to
avoid detection.
- ActBlue has become notorious for its lax standards that enable
unverified and fraudulent donations.
- A recent House of Representatives investigation found that ActBlue
detected at least 22 “significant fraud campaigns” in recent
years, nearly half of which had a foreign nexus.
- ActBlue detected 237 donations from foreign IP addresses using
prepaid cards over a 30-day window during the 2024 election
cycle.
- The investigation revealed that ActBlue trained employees to “look
for reasons to accept contributions,” even in the face of suspicious
activity.
- Until recently, ActBlue accepted political contributions without
requiring a card verification value (CVV), making it easy to
contribute without identity verification.
- Before addressing this issue in response to a congressional
investigation, ActBlue tested whether this would hurt its
fundraising.
- Numerous state attorneys general have opened investigations into
ActBlue over suspicious donations made through obscured identities and
untraceable means.
MAKING ELECTIONS SECURE
AGAIN: Voters deserve elections they can trust, and that
confidence is being restored thanks to President Trump.
- President Trump is following through on his promise to secure our
elections.
- President Trump: “We’re going to fix our elections so that our
elections will be honorable and honest.”
- President Trump: “We will secure our elections, and they will be
secure once and for all.”
- President Trump recently signed an Executive Order to protect the
integrity of American elections.
Unlike the Biden Administration, which prioritized political
agendas over fair elections, President Trump put the American people
back in charge. Draining the swamp and exposing corruption has
only begun, but this is a critical part of that effort.
Finally, Fly, Eagles Fly!
On Monday, we went to the White House and celebrated the Philadelphia
Eagles' victory in Super Bowl LIX! It was
a pleasure to join so many proud Pennsylvanians and Eagles fans —
including Dr. Mehmet
Oz, State Representative Russ
Diamond, PA
State Rep. Jamie Barton, Kellyanne Conway,
Rich Zeoli and his son Patrick, and many others — to recognize this
outstanding team.
The Eagles showed heart, grit, and true championship spirit all
season long, making Pennsylvania proud. Congratulations to the
players, coaches, and some of the best fans in football — we are all
flying high!
I welcomed my good friend Rep. Barton and his wife Brenda to the
U.S. Capitol.

On Tuesday, I made it clear that community banks drive Main Street
growth, but ideological rules and subjective examinations hold them
back.
Under the Trump administration, we will focus on creating a
regulatory environment where examinations are clear, consistent, and
fair — so community banks can focus on lending, not second-guessing
shifting standards. That starts at the CFPB.
Financial Services Committee Republicans are committed to making
it easier, not harder, for community banks to serve small businesses
and local economies. Click
here or below to watch.
On Tuesday, I attended a reception hosted by Penn State in the
Capitol. From NCAA championship trophies to ice cream from the iconic
Penn State Berkey Creamery — founded in 1865 — the event showcased the
excellence and tradition Penn State brings to Pennsylvania and the
nation. The Nittany Lions continue to lead on and off the field, and I
was happy to celebrate the success of one of our Commonwealth’s
greatest institutions.
On Wednesday, at the House Committee on Small Business,
I strongly supported the Business Over Ballots Act, a critical bill to
ensure the SBA focuses on helping small businesses rather than
electioneering in swing states.
Under the Biden Administration, the SBA was used as a political
tool to boost the campaign prospects of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
That was a blatant misuse of taxpayer dollars, a violation of the
Hatch Act, and a betrayal of the agency’s mission.
Thankfully, under Administrator Loeffler’s leadership, we’re
restoring the SBA to its rightful role — helping Main Street, not
playing politics. It’s time to make that permanent. Click
here or below to watch.
On Wednesday, I caught up with Commissioner Joe Klebon. I
appreciated him stopping by my office with his sons during their visit
to Washington. We had a valuable conversation about
Northumberland County's challenges and how our work in Congress can
help address them.
On Wednesday, I participated in a panel discussion hosted by the
Pennsylvania Chamber of
Business and Industry. The debate brought
together members of Congress and business leaders from across the
Commonwealth for a forward-looking conversation on Pennsylvania’s
economic future.
We discussed small businesses' real challenges — taxes and
overregulation, energy policy — and the pro-growth solutions needed to
compete for jobs, investment, and innovation.
Thank you to the PA Chamber for convening this critical discussion
and continuing to lead as the statewide voice of business.
On Thursday evening, I spoke at the Westmoreland County Republican
Committee Reagan Dinner about the road ahead for
our party and our Commonwealth.
In 2024, the Westmoreland GOP helped deliver a decisive victory
for President Trump through tireless work and strong organization.
That same energy is exactly what we need in 2025—to win our judicial
and municipal races and set the stage to make Pennsylvania redder in
2026.
Thank you to Chairman Bill Bretz, the entire Westmoreland County
Republican Committee, State Senate President Pro
Tempore Kim Ward, State Rep. Jilly Cooper, and District Attorney
Nicole Ziccarelli for the warm welcome and strong leadership.
Let’s keep the momentum going, get out the vote, and deliver real
results for Pennsylvania.
(Pictured below with Senate President Kim Ward)
(Pictured below with State Rep. Jill Cooper)
We had a great night on Friday at the Plum Borough Republican
Committee’s annual Spring Dinner. Events like this show the strength
and spirit of our party—Western Pennsylvania continues to bring
energy, enthusiasm, and drive that’s helping Republicans win across
the Commonwealth.
Thank you to PBRC Chairman Steve Schlauch and the committee for
organizing a terrific evening. I appreciated spending time with many
dedicated conservatives ready to fight for Pennsylvania’s future.
Special thanks to Salena Zito for her powerful account of the
Butler assassination attempt, and to James Hayes for stepping up and
getting ready to deliver in PA-12.
Nights like this build the momentum we need. Let’s stay focused,
support our candidates, and work toward big wins in 2025 and
beyond.
Yesterday, Shelley and I had the pleasure of attending the Rusty
Flack Memorial Kid’s Fishing Day at Frances Slocum State Park — a
fantastic event hosted by Hal Flack and the Back Mountain Police
Association.
Thanks to the generosity of sponsors and volunteers, kids had the
chance to fish, meet local law enforcement officers, watch K-9
demonstrations, and enjoy a day of fun and learning — all free of
charge and in memory of one of the great pillars of our community.
It was great to see so many families out enjoying the day and
building positive connections with our local police departments. We
also saw so many familiar faces who have long served Back
Mountain.
Thank you to the entire Flack Family, the BMPA, and the other
dedicated volunteers who made this event happen for the 17th year.
May God continue to bless our nation. I
look forward to seeing you soon,

Dan
