Republicans — from Trump in the Oval Office to the GOP majority in the House — want to make it harder and harder for Americans to exercise their constitutional right to vote.

That’s why they’re pushing the anti-democracy SAVE Act. And it’s why Trump is putting out illegal and anti-voter executive orders.

The endless lies and conspiracy theories about “massive voter fraud” are just an excuse for them to disenfranchise millions of Americans including married women, rural voters, servicemembers overseas, and anyone simply trying to register to vote online or by mail.

So on Wednesday, I took to the Senate floor to talk about it and stop the SAVE Act.

We cannot sit back and let Republicans take us backward, erasing all the progress we’ve made in expanding voting rights in this country.

They know the MAGA agenda — massive cuts to Medicare and gutting Social Security to pay for tax breaks for billionaires — is deeply unpopular.

So instead of abandoning their disastrous policies, they’re making it harder and harder for anyone who disagrees with them to vote at all.

This bill would mean no more online voter registration.

No more mailing in your registration card as millions of people have done safely and securely for years.

No more voter registration drives in the run-up to elections.

Let’s be clear: This is not about immigrants or immigration. This is about the voting rights of American citizens.

Friend, I am doing all I can to stop the SAVE Act. But I need your help.
