Before I get my day started, I wanted to send along an update on this campaign and what we’ve been working on.

On Monday this week, I was thrilled to sit down with educators, school board members, and parents around the district to talk about our schools and the funding we need to fight for.


We’ve also been phoning voters and constituents of the district to hear how they’re doing amidst both COVID-19 and our shared fight for justice and equity in this country. I’ve been able to hear directly from so many people and appreciate your thoughts and stories immensely. If you ever want to reach out, please feel free to reply to this email.

Finally, just last month, I was so thrilled to win the endorsement of the Minnesota DFL Party with nearly 80% of the vote. It’s truly exhilarating to fight alongside you for a better future for MN-08.

But to be sure, winning this nomination will make our endeavor to win this race more difficult than ever. Special interest groups who are committed to keeping this seat red will target our campaign. We do need to be prepared to compete with them for air time, mailbox space, and online.
