John,
André Carson is one of the few members of Congress who consistently stands up for Palestinians’ human rights.
He’s leading legislation to reinstate humanitarian aid funding to UNRWA, the UN aid group serving Palestinians. This is vitally important, especially as the Israeli government continues a two-month blockade of any items from entering Gaza.
Together we’re pushing back against Trump’s attacks on all of our communities, and standing up for the sacredness of all life.
But now Congressman André Carson is facing a challenger in the Democratic primary election, who’s trying to get funding from AIPAC—the Islamophobic, anti-Palestinian group that spent over $100 million in elections last year. Most of AIPAC’s money comes from far-right billionaire donors, who keep interfering in Democratic elections.
Will you split a donation between André Carson’s campaign and my campaign today? Together we can stand up to AIPAC and keep building the movement for human rights for all.

Congressman André Carson and I are part of a small group of Muslims serving in Congress, and together with our colleague Ilhan Omar we held the first-ever Congressional Iftar dinner to celebrate Ramadan alongside our colleagues of all faiths. We started during Trump’s term and have continued each year since.
We’re showing our colleagues in Congress that Muslims are human beings, and we’re showing Muslim Americans and other marginalized people that they belong here—in this country and in our government.
Our presence and leadership matters more than ever, with anti-Muslim hate and violence growing in the United States. André Carson also created the first-ever interfaith space in Congress, as we fight for our neighbors of all faiths and backgrounds.
We’re holding immigrant rights’ workshops for our communities in coalition with local grassroots groups. Neither of us are afraid to stand up and demand the immediate release of detained students, and we will continue pushing our government to respect the constitutional rights that are meant to protect every U.S. resident.
Together we’re also fighting for affordable housing and healthcare, paid family leave, immigrants’ rights, public transportation and education, expanded Social Security benefits, and a government for the people rather than billionaires.
Will you split a contribution today between my and André Carson’s campaigns, so we can stay in Congress leading with love over hate?
Thank you for your support. It’s an honor to fight for you in Congress.
Stay tuned for more on my latest policies, including bills co-sponsored by Congressman Carson, which mark the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War and address the multi-generational harms from the United States’ atrocities.
We’ll keep holding our government accountable, and fighting for a better country and world where we can all thrive.
With you in this fight,
Rashida

John,
Congressman André Carson is among the few members of Congress who consistently stands up for Palestinians’ human rights, and who doesn’t take money from AIPAC.
Right now he’s leading legislation to reinstate humanitarian aid funding to UNRWA, the UN group serving Palestinians. This is especially urgent as Israel’s government continues its two-month blockade, preventing any items from entering Gaza, even as thousands of aid trucks line up outside.
But now André Carson has a new Democratic primary opponent, who has boasted about meeting with and seeking funding from AIPAC.
During last year’s election cycle, the Islamophobic, anti-Palestinian group spent over $100 million to support lawmakers who’ll keep aiding Israel’s war crimes. Primarily funded by right-wing billionaires, AIPAC is the biggest source of Republican money interfering in Democratic primary elections.
Now’s the time to donate to André Carson’s campaign. Together we can stand up to AIPAC, show strong early fundraising numbers, and keep this progressive human rights leader in Congress. Can you split a donation between our campaigns today?

While serving Indiana’s 7th congressional district, Congressman André Carson has gotten 24 bills signed into law and brought back over one billion dollars to his district.
Now he’s holding rallies and workshops in his district to resist Trump’s attacks, and we’re both working with local grassroots groups to share “know your rights” information with our immigrant neighbors.
Congressman Carson is also one of four Muslims now serving in Congress, including me.
He and I fought Trump’s first Muslim ban, and we’ve both led legislation to lift up Muslim Americans, a community that has felt unseen for far too long. As hate crimes and other attacks against Muslim Americans are on the rise, our leadership is needed more than ever.
Our presence in Congress challenges the narrative of who deserves to have a voice in our government. It sends a message to Muslim Americans and other marginalized people: You belong.
Each year we hold Congressional Iftar dinners to celebrate Ramadan at the Capitol with colleagues. And last year André established Congress’ first-ever interfaith space for staff and interns, saying it “encourages interfaith engagement—a key tenant to achieving a more peaceful, understanding community.”
We know that all life is precious, and we will continue fighting for a world where all people can thrive with dignity and peace.
Will you split a contribution to Congressman Carson’s and my re-election campaigns today, to keep us in Congress and keep building the movement for human rights for all?
Thank you so much for your support. Grassroots donations help ensure progressive candidates have a chance against billionaires’ ever-increasing spending in our elections.
In solidarity,
Rashida
