Arming teachers, permitless carry, allowing teenagers to buy guns.

John, over the past few years we've seen that many of our state
lawmakers care more about catering to the gun lobby than protecting their
communities or listening to their constituents.

We're done waiting for them to do their jobs—so we're stepping in to make
change where we can.

Since we began as a Facebook page in response to the Sandy Hook tragedy in
2012, our movement has grown to nearly 11 million supporters with a Moms
Demand Action chapter in every single state and Washington, D.C.

This means that even in states where lawmakers refuse to take action, our
grassroots movement is strong enough to move the needle and save lives.

In Tennessee, Moms Demand Action volunteers have been organizing one
county at a time to fix a dangerous loophole allowing domestic abusers to
keep their firearms—even when the law requires them to relinquish them.

And it's not just Tennessee volunteers that are thinking locally.

In Louisiana, instead of gathering at the capitol for advocacy day this
year, volunteers are going to come together and strategize for key local
campaigns, industry accountability work, and more!

And in Vermont, volunteers fought for a charter change prohibiting guns in
bars in Burlington—and won.

When we think creatively, organize together, and focus our efforts on the
areas we can have the greatest impact—local campaigns, partnership
development, and holding the gun industry accountable—no one can stop us.

Thank you for continuing to take part in this fight.
