John,

On April 4, President Trump announced huge tariffs on most of the world, and the stock market tanked. On April 8, he attended a dinner with a number of Republican members of Congress and administration officials. On the morning of April 9, he posted on Truth Social: Then, less than four hours later, he announced a 90-day pause on most of the tariffs, and the stock market soared.

Now, serious questions are being raised: Did members of Congress or the administration profit from inside information during this time period?

I’m leading the charge to get to the bottom of this issue alongside my friend, Senator Adam Schiff. We’re calling for full transparency and accountability by urging members of Congress and the White House to disclose all financial transactions during this time.

I’ve advocated for banning individual stock trading by members of Congress since I first ran for office in 2017, and believe public service should be about serving the people, not personal profit.

I'm doing everything I can to rid Washington of corruption, but I can't do this alone. If you’re with me, I’m asking you to sign the petition to put an end to stock trading in Congress.
