Folks — the Trump administration wants to cut funds for life-saving research, and I’m fighting back.

I was proud to lead a forum on how this administration is recklessly cutting funding for research to develop cures to cancer, Alzheimer’s, and more.

At that event, we heard from a 10-year-old boy who shared what it’s like watching his dad battle ALS. He wanted our help protecting the life-saving research being done at the NIH so his dad can live long enough to see him graduate from high school.

Staffing cuts at our nation’s Health Department affect support for lifesaving research, hope for families, and cures for serious illnesses. Growing up, I was diagnosed with a serious illness and had to watch my grandparents stay up at night, worried about my health and how to afford my care.

The Trump administration and RFK Jr.'s harmful cuts to HHS put the health of all Americans in jeopardy. I know what it’s like to live with pre-existing conditions, which is why I’m standing firm against these cuts in defense of American families.
